The 2022 Toyota Avalon offers several styling updates for improved aerodynamics, including a new hood designed to help reduce lift and drag by creating a smoother flow to the ground. The front grille has also been enlarged, and the air dam is now smaller, while the rear end has gained an integrated spoiler.
The rear lamp clusters have been slightly reshaped, including the taillights, which are now more curved for a more natural flow. The rear bumper has also been restyled and includes redesigned diffusers, new exhaust tips and chrome plated under-body spoiler. The rear lights are also complemented by a large LED light bar integrated into the trunk lid - one of Toyota's best-known design features.
Along the sides, there are new rectangular side windows that are flanked by unique door moldings. The door handles have been given updated shapes to match, while the mirror caps also have been given new shapes that give them more of a sporty look.
