The base engines take the Avalon from zero to 60 mph in six seconds. Princeton consumers preferring a fuel-efficient vehicle might choose an Avalon with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 205 hp. The smaller engines are available with FWD or AWD.
